Tube-style light fixtures named after and commonly filled with the gas Neon. Typically paired with coatings that produce brighter colors, contrasting flourescents which are almost always white.
Due to the fragility of the tubes and risk of noxious gas leaks, many modern "Neon" light fixtures use instead LEDs in acrylic to simulate the traditional Neon lights' appearance.
