NASA logotype 1975-1992 & 2020-present
Commonly known as the "worm" logo, it is a simple logo only depicting the name NASA in a stylized red font. It was retired in 1992, but was brought back as a secondary NASA logo in celebration of the return of manned spaceflights being launched from US soil. Example: post #3336963
Official Seal
Sharing most of the same elements as the "meatball" logo the official seal is reserved for formal events. It depicts a yellow sphere representing a planet with an orbital around it and a red v-shaped wing on it, these are on a blue fading to black background filled with stars and another sphere. The full title National Aeronautics and Space Administration circles the image with USA written on the bottom.
