Also known as the Navy Type Zero Observation Seaplane (not to be confused with the Type Zero Reconnaissance Seaplane), the Mitsubishi F1M was the last biplane of the Imperial Japanese Navy to have been produced.
Originally intended (and used) as a ship-based recon seaplane, it also served in other roles such as anti-submarine and anti-shipping. The F1M also served with Indonesia post-war. Its Allied codename was Pete.
