マイルス・モラレス マイルズ・モラレス MilesMorales
Tag refers to any image referencing the Marvel Comics character Miles Morales, who is one of the many alternative versions of the iconic superhero costume Spider-Man.
Most versions of Miles depict him as an African-American teen boy with either a faded buzz cut or dreadlocks. He wears a variation of the iconic Spider-Man suit with a black base and red outlines instead of red and blue. His origin story and his movie debut (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse) portray him struggling to live up to the original Spider-Man's legacy after his untimely death, as well as the responsibilities and isolation that comes with his great newfound powers.
He was created in the early 2010s, and is notable for being the first (widely recognized) Spider-Man of African and Latino ancestry. While others such as Spider-Punk and Spider-Man 2099 existed, Miles was created during President Barack Obama's second term, and was created in part because of what Obama represented to his supporters as the first black president of the United States. This allowed Marvel to push him into the attention of their most dedicated fans. Marvel was soon able to make him known to general audiences with his appearances in the Insomniac Games' Spider-Man games, Into The Spider-Verse, and numerous children's cartoons in the late 2010s.
