A 7.62×51mm NATO derivative of the German MG42, which was adopted by the Bundeswehr. This belt-fed general-purpose machine gun was designed in 1959 and mainly produced by Rheinmetall AG.
Albeit visually similar to the earlier MG42, its usage context is for modern, post-World War II setting. The MG3 typically comes in all-black or desert tan finish, accessories such as an open barrel shroud, optics, carry handle, and Picatinny rail.
