Manuel Antonio Noriega Moreno (February 11, 1934 - May 29, 2017) was a Panamanian dictator (from 1983 to 1989) and military officer, as well as a former intelligence source for the CIA. His violent leadership and growing involvement in drug-trafficking and money laundering eventually led the American goverment to launch an invasion on Panama in 1989 with the objective of capturing him.
