Ganoderma is a genus of polypore fungi in the family Ganodermataceae that includes about 80 species. Despite this recognition of additional species and subsequent discoveries of new Ganoderma species, the taxonomy of Ganoderma species has remained chaotic. The name "lingzhi" is commonly used to refer to both Ganoderma lucidum and Ganoderma sichuanense, though they're different species.
