Better known in the West as "Samurai Pizza Cats", the show was picked up for localisation in the early 90s. However, incomplete/incomprehensible scripts forced the dubbing company to instead ad-lib the episodes, creating a pun-laden series that may be the first "gag dub". Despite this, the series is still fondly remembered, and became a bigger hit outside Japan than in its homeland.
