Developed from Ka-50, Ka-52 is a two-seat counter-rotating coaxial-rotor attack helicopter used primarily by the Russian Aerospace Forces and Russian Naval Aviation, NATO report name for Ka-52 is 'Hokum B'.
Ka-52 has three mounting hardpoints on each wing for rocket pods, missiles and external fuel tanks, also fitted with a 30mm calibre Shipunov 2A42 autocannon under the cockpit.
