An acronym of Knight Industries Two Thousand, KITT is an artificially intelligent electronic computer module in the body of a highly advanced, very mobile, robotic automobile (portrayed by a modified 1982 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am sports car with a heavily customized interior).
KITT was voiced by American actor William Daniels in the original series.
