Japanese Title: ジョイメカファイト
Alternate Name: Joy Mech Fight
A fighting game released on the Famicom. Developed by Koichi Hayashida and Kochiro Ito, and published by Nintendo for their own system in 1993.
Robots apparently made of choreographed and independently propelled disembodied parts are pitted against each other two at a time, like in Capcom's Street Fighter II.
The game is notable for being a hilariously ingenious, if not completely successful, fighting game developed within the tight constraints of the Famicom's graphical capabilities. By clever design, Joy Mech Fight offered a roster of 36 fighters complete with special moves and fast-paced gameplay, well ahead of most contemporary conventional fighting games.
