Edit
Azur Lane's personification of the Japanese light cruiser Jintsuu.
Character design by Jianren, voiced by Kanemoto Hisako.
Appearance
In Azur Lane, she has long blue hair, blue eyes, and animalistic ears and tail. She wears a mix of traditional Japanese clothes with a white pleated skirt. She is also shown to be holding a folding fan (two at retrofit).
Her rig contains two 14 cm single mounts, one on each side.
History
In real life, she was the assigned flagship of the Second Torpedo Squadron (one of her skills is explicitly named after the DesRon), boasting some of the most experienced destroyer crews the IJN had at the start of the war. She led the DesRon through victories in the Dutch East Indies before serving in a variety of other commands in Midway and Guadalcanal. Ultimately, she was sunk in a night engagement against US forces in Kolombangara in July 1943. The manner in how she was sunk is an irony of her night battle record: her lit searchlights made her the target of the three Allied cruisers (Honolulu, St. Louis, and Leander) who ripped her with 152 mm gunfire.
