Character in Wild Arms 1, also known as Calamity Jane. Jane also makes a cameo in Wild Arms 5. She is always seen with her butler Magdalen Harts. Her real name is Jane Maxwell, though she has no direct relation to Virginia Maxwell, the protagonist of Wild Arms 3. 'Calamity Jane' is a nickname based off a real historical figure named Martha Jane Cannary Burke.
Jane initially is a 'rival' to Rody Roughnight's party as she hunts for treasure, but is actually trying to save her family orphanage in Court Seim. As she learns more about the group, she becomes friendlier with them and even develops feelings for Rody. While she joins the party in certain storyline moments, she can be picked up as a permanent member later.
In Wild Arms 3, Maya Schrodinger greatly resembles Jane, both in appearance and personality. This is because Maya has the ability to mimic the abilities of characters from books she reads, and she particularly enjoys one called "Disaster Girl of the Wasteland," the title character of which is strongly implied to be Jane.
