The iconic throne depicted in the fantasy novel series A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin and its associated TV show Game of Thrones. Said to be forged from the swords of Targaryen ruler Aegon the Conqueror's enemies and fused by dragonfire.
The throne as depicted in the TV show has been as accepted as the definite version and a symbol for the entire media franchise, despite not being the one in George R. R. Martin's imagination, one that is tall, large enough to fill most of a room, having stairs, and being haphazardly made, which would be too expensive and too large to feasibly recreate in reality, let alone be used in even the largest indoor sets for the TV series. Marc Simonetti's Throne (post #6286993) has been described to be the closest to Martin's vision.
