One of the three initial protagonists in Gensou Suikoden III. He is a member of the Karaya tribe born to Lucia and an unknown father. Hugo is suddenly exposed to the horrors of war and embarks on a journey to find the Flame Champion. In canon, Hugo finds the True Fire Rune and becomes the new Flame Champion himself.
