A Touken Ranbu character. One of the Awataguchi school swords and thus is one of the many "Toushirou" brothers.
Has a thing for sweets and married women. Having been owned by Tokugawa Ieyasu, his liking for married women is a reference to Ieyasu's reputation as a womanizer. In fandom, this very quickly snowballed into Houchou either being the only skirt chaser of the citadel, openly lusting after particularly effeminate-looking or wife-like swords (such as Horikawa Kunihiro) if there is an absence of a female saniwa or women in general, or indulging in netorare. After a while a lot of fanworks just portrayed him as a needy kid, with the implication that he goes after married women then being due to the fact that they're more likely to give him candy.
He has brown hair and brown eyes. He wears a military uniform with shorts like his brothers, though with a yellow necktie instead of a black one. He wears colorful Japanese armor consisting of sode and kote on his right side. He wears a pink hairclip in his hair and carries a messenger bag, which his damaged portrait reveals is full of candy.
Voiced by Miyata Kouki. Artist is kumita (sumica).
