A 2007 British police action-comedy directed by Edgar Wright starring Simon Pegg & Nick Frost and written by Wright and Pegg as part of their Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy (Shaun of The Dead (2004), Hot Fuzz (2007), and The World's End (2013)).
It follows the story of Metropolitan Police Service Sergeant Nicholas Angel (Simon Pegg) - a meticulously good police officer - as he is transferred from London to the small village of Sandford, and as he works with his quite-incompetent partner, Danny Butterman (Nick Frost), who loves cop movies. While Sandford appears to be a quaint, peaceful village, it turns out that it's being controlled by a cult-like group, which he and the rest of the village's small (and also pretty incompetent) police force must take down.
