Azur Lane's personification of the Chinese protected cruiser Hai Tien. Her name (海天) means "Heavenly Seas".
Historically, she and her sister ship Hai Chi were the largest ships China had for several decades (compare their 4,300 tons while Ning Hai had a displacement of 2,500 tons). She was originally commissioned in 1899 and ran aground in 1904 while navigating to the Yangtze in foggy conditions.
In Azur Lane, she and her sister Hai Chi are reclassed as light cruisers to conform to existing gameplay ship types.
