Hacksaw Ridge is a 2016 World War 2 movie starring Andrew Garfield and directed by Mel Gibson. The movie follows the life of Desmond Doss, a US Army Medic who refuses to use any weapon due to his pacifism and religious beliefs but is rewarded the Medal of Honor for his bravery for rescuing many of his comrades during the Battle of Okinawa.
