A series of novels beginning in 1979. With 147 books in the main series, of those 130 written by the original author, it is longest single-writer's work in the world. The stories revolve around the titular Guin, a man wearing a leopard mask fused to his head. The series is very well known in Japan, inspiring many manga including Berserk. Received an anime adaptation in 2009.
