A knight of Heliodor who is determined to arrest the Hero. He is a native of a region that had been devastated by monsters in his youth. Thinking the hero to be the "Darkspawn", a bringer of evil, he has a greater impetus to stop him at all cost. Being from a country that resembles Holland, he was renamed Hendrik in the English version.
In the second act, he becomes your first companion in atonement for being a former enemy and having unwittingly enabled the fall of Yggdrasil. In different circumstances due to time travel, he also becomes a companion for the third act.
