Fictional aliens who first appeared in Lovecraft's 1936 short story, "The Shadow Out of Time". They have the mind transferring & time travel technology. The Flying Polyps, their old enemies, defeated them and the minds of the Yithians escaped to the far distant future. The bodies they used on Earth were about 10 feet tall iridescent cones.
