Traditional Chinese hairstyle. Translates to Flying Immortal Hair-coil.
Two hair rings loop atop the head, similar to the Japanese chigomage, but unlike the chigomage, these hair loops are larger and looser, and incline towards the back of the head. They may resemble rabbit ears, or a bow.
Another variant is the Chuihuan fenxiaoji, meaning hanging hair with split coil. These two hair rings drape over the side of the scalp, often creating asymmetrical hair. It's often associated with purity and virginity, as the hairstyle was worn by young maidens in the Tang Dynasty.
