A twin-engine multirole militaryjet developed in the 1970s by the European Eurofighter GmbH consortium. It is a one- or two-seater delta-wing airplane with canards and a rectangular-section ventral air intake. 13 underwing hardpoints can carry a total of 7,500 kg (16,500 lb) of stores. A 27mm cannon is also fitted.
