Elizabeth Alexandra Mary of the House of Windsor (21 April 1926 - 8 September 2022)
The 12th monarch of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and head of the British Commonwealth. Her reign began in 1952. In September 2015 she became the longest reigning monarch of the United Kingdom and since October 2016, was the world's longest-reigning monarch. Elizabeth passed away peacefully on 8th September 2022 at the age of 96.
Her successor is Charles Windsor, her eldest son, who took on the royal name "Charles III".
