Edit
ドゥーカ・デッリ・アブルッツィ(アズールレーン) 阿布鲁齐公爵
Azur Lane's personification of the Italian cruiser Luigi di Savoia Duca degli Abruzzi.
Character design by Ohisashiburi, voiced by Hirata Hiromi.
Appearance
In her base art (post #4481263), Duca degli Abruzzi is depicted with red eyes, short purple hair, large breasts and a black and purple halo. Her most distinctive feature is her prosthetic right arm. Her outfit includes a red skirt, long green cape, black pantyhose and a black single elbow glove on her left (non-prosthetic) hand.
History
In real life, she was the lead ship of what was the last evolution in the so-called Condottieri-class, a collective group of 12 light cruisers across five classes that Italy developed in the interwar period. Originally designed to counter the first French large destroyers, by the time Luigi di Savoia Duca degli Abruzzi was laid down in 1933, the emphasis had shifted to general-purpose combat and thus carried thicker armor and more main guns than the earlier ships.
Commissioned in 1937, she was paired with her sister Giuseppe Garibaldi as Cruiser Division 9 and participated in the naval battles of Calabria and Cape Matapan before a torpedo hit in November 1941, coupled with fuel shortages, put her out of action until the Armistice. Afterward, she served as a patrol ship in the Atlantic against German submarines.
The pair continued service in the post-war Italian Navy but was not afforded a modernization program unlike her sister. This paved the way to her decommissioning in 1961.
