A performer, usually male, who uses clothing and makeup to exaggerate female gender roles and femininity for the purpose of entertainment or expression.
Drag makeup and clothing are usually flashy and overly flamboyant, intentionally drawing attention to the wearer. Queens usually perform in drag shows for the entertainment of the audience, usually featuring lip-syncing and dancing.
While the art is traditionally associated with crossdressing, some women (both cis and trans) also participate in the activity. Chappell Roan is a good example of a cisgender woman who often dresses in drag in her performances.
