A chain of second-hand bookstores in Japan.

Founded in 1991, they are notable as one of the only Japanese companies to grow during the “Lost Decade” of economic recession in Japan.

(Hard Off, a chain of second-hand electronic stores, is actually independent from Book Off, although its founder is close to that of Book Off.)
