The Berdan rifle is a single-shot, breech-loaded rifle invented by American engineer Hiram Berdan and is chambered in 10.75×58mmR ammunition. It was the service rifle of the Imperial Russian Army from 1870 to 1891, and evetually replaced by Mosin-Nagant.
