American comic book series starring the titular protagonist Archie Andrews, along with his friends Betty Cooper, Veronica Lodge and Jughead Jones. Would prove so successful that the comic's parent company, M.L.J. Magazines, would rename itself to Archie Comics in 1946. Had an animated series in the 1960s, which aired in Japan in the 70s.
