French first generation Main Battle Tank. Trading away heavy armor for mobility and firepower, the AMX-30 packed the 105mm F1 indigenously designed gun (unlike other Western MBTs of the era, which all used a variation of the 105mm L7 gun) as well as a 20mm autocannon coaxially, giving it excellent offensive capabilities. The type was substantially updated until it was eventually replaced in French service by the Leclerc.
