Hungarian: Automata Módosított Deszant[fegyver] 1965 (Automatic Modified Paratrooper [weapon])
The AMD-65 assault rifle is a Hungarian-manufactured licensed variant of the AKM. It was designed in 1965 and came into service by the Hungarian Defense Forces in 1967, mainly the nation's armored infantry and paratrooper units. Its most notable features are the front handguard made of perforated sheet metal, plastic vertical foregrip and a metal side-folding stock.
