Her rigging consists of four 14 cm single gun mounts (two on her wrists, two on her rig), held by a funnel piece to her back.
She is a somewhat high-strung and self-conscious girl. She tends to fuss over her hair excessively, apparently as a joke about how her bow was destroyed in a collision with Kitakami. Kitakami is portrayed as having a teasing/dominant relationship with Abukuma because of this (see pool #7431).
