"I am Loki of Asgard, and I am burdened with glorious purpose."
Loki Laufeyson (or Odinson, depending on his current relationship with his family) is the adopted brother of Thor and is the god of mischief, outcasts, stories, lies, etc. He is portrayed by Tom Hiddleston in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Though he is a shapeshifter, his usual appearance is that of a thin young man with shoulder-length black hair, green leather armor made from fine Asgardian leather with gold trimmings, and either a golden horned helmet or simpler horned headwear.
Being a comic book character that has been around for decades, there have been several variants of Loki throughout the years, such as Kid Loki (a younger version of Loki who was reborn after the original was killed, King Loki (a future, evil(er) version of Loki), and Lady Loki (Loki shapeshifted into a woman). The Loki television series introduces various other variants, such as Classic Loki (an older variant of Loki based on the comic version, played by Richard E. Grant), Boastful Loki (a black, muscular variant of Loki who is a braggart, played by DeObia Oparei), Sylvie Laufeydottir (a female variant of Loki, played by Sophia Di Martino), and Alligator Loki (an alligator variant of Loki, played by a CG alligator).
