Second installment of Splatoon, released in 2017 for the Nintendo Switch. Was stylized as "Spla2n" before the official sequel announcement.
The game launched with three gameplay modes, those being Turf War, a multiplayer mode that plays similar to Multiplayer Mode in the first game, Salmon Run, a multiplayer mode which involves teams of inklings going to a remote island to hunt power eggs, and Hero Mode, a single-player story campaign focusing on the new squidbeak splatoon member Agent 4 as they help Marie look for her missing partner, Callie. After launch, a fourth mode was added as DLC, Octo Expansion, a single player mode set after Hero Mode where an amnesiac octoling sets out to escape an underground facility.
