Edit
Kantai Collection character personifying the fourth of the Matsu-class destroyers of the Imperial Japanese Navy. Her name means "peach." Like the other Matsu-class girls already in the game, her illustrator is Watanabe Akio.
True to her namesake fruit, Momo has long pink hair that gradiates to green tied into twintails with an ahoge sticking out on top. She also has red eyes and a fang. Like nameship siser Matsu, she wears a serafuku composed of a khaki sailor shirt with a grey sailor collar and black corset (with an anchor zipper pull tab), a gray pleated skirt, and a green bow as well as black gloves and black boots. She however differs from Matsu by having a large red back bow, her green bow being striped, and wearing white thighhighs that have a sparkle pattern and held up by garter straps. She also wears a bracelet over her right wrist that resembles a lifebuoy. Her machinery consists of a handheld adapted turret, a torpedo launcher beside her right leg, as well as a smokestack and several other items behind her back.
Upon her introduction into the game, Momo was mistaken to be a pink-haired Matsushima Michiru of the Grisaia series, another title her illustrator was involved in.
Also, she has an introductory line regarding herself as the fleet's newest idol, but her 9:00 p.m. line implies the game's preexisting idol Naka does not mind having her around. Considering this, some artists already have the two together side by side and coexisting, but others could not help but depict the latter as the stereotypical insecure idol wary of newcomers eating at their fanbase.
History
The historical destroyer was launched on March 25, 1944 and completed on June 10, 1944 but had a relatively short unremarkable career, having been sunk by the submarine USS Hawkbill on December 15, 1944.
