Tekken character. Intially introduced as the series' protagonist before turned into secondary antagonist/anti-hero in the later installments.
Years before the first Tekken tournament, Kazuya's father Heihachi took over the title of Mishima Zaibatsu CEO from his father Jinpachi and tried to toss Kazuya from atop a ravine in an attempt to avoid repeating his father's fate.
Heihachi hosted the first Tekken tournament to see if any fighter is worthy enough to beat him. But it seems that no one is able to meet the criteria until Kazuya, whom he threw atop a ravine years ago, meets him. In an ironic self-fulfilling prophecy, Kazuya eventually defeats Heihachi and tosses him onto the same ravine that Heihachi used to throw Kazuya, making him the new CEO of the Mishima Zaibatsu. He would lose this position to his father once more, with him instead opting to take over G Corporation.
In the subsequent installments, Kazuya began to slowly corrupts into an evil persona as a result of his demonic gene from his late mother. As a result, his son Jin turned against him and challenged Kazuya for the title of CEO of the Mishima Zaibatsu, their battle ultimately culminating with the eighth Tekken tournament.
