A Korean mobile gacha RPG created by Nexon Games (formerly NAT Games before merging), developed by MX Studio, and published by Shanghai Yostar (for Japan) and Nexon (for global release). Initially referred to as Project MX during its early development phase.
The game revolves around a player character, known simply as "Sensei" (先生 / teacher); assumes the responsibility of managing the city of Kivotos following the unexpected disappearance of its General Student Council president. The player's role includes resolving local problems, supervising students, and assisting different schools, all while uncovering the reasons behind the GSC president's departure. The game presents the gameplay in a 3D isometric perspective, automating most actions; player interaction primarily involves activating "Skill Cards" to unleash students' special skills.
The story begins with a prologue, and each set has volumes; starting from the 1st volume (which is Abydos) until the 5th volume (which focuses on Hyakkiyako). Main story expansions may update every week or month.
The Anime adaptation aired on April 7, 2024. The inaugural season featured the Foreclosure Task Force and Handyman 68, placing significant emphasis on the game's lore in the first volume.
Blue Archive also worked with other people on projects besides the game, such as World of Warships.
