Edit
Solid body electric guitar, made and produced by American instrument maker Fender since 1954.
Designs and prototypes were made around 1953 which were subsequently set into production without minor changes including colors and finishes. Noted and recognised as a revolutionary and innovative guitar at the time, the Stratocaster quickly gained worldwide renown and became one of the most popular electric guitars in history, with its basic design still being used and modified by many other guitar manufacturers to this day. The Fender Stratocaster, alongside the Fender Telecaster, have been used across a wide range of musical genres by countless musicians, with the Strat being associated with legendary guitarists like Yngwie Malmsteen, Eric Clapton, and Jimi Hendrix.
In Japanese animation, Iwasawa Masami of Angel Beats! and Hanazono Tae of Bang Dream! are two of the most prominent players, the latter using a Stratocaster-style guitar made by ESP Guitars.
Features a unique contour body with double cutaway, triple single-coil setup as standard, three control knobs and tremolo bridge. Akin to the Telecaster, an endless amount of versions and configurations exist, but the base design always stays the same.
