Characters that were already humanoid (androids, furries, monster girls, humanoid mecha, etc) being depicted as more human-like than usual.
This typically involves the reduction, if not outright removal, of non-human features such as body fur, horns, wings, and colored skin. With furry characters, they are often turned into humans with animal ears.
