In-game, Mikura has longgrey hair with a subtle but noticeable hue change from a yellowish to pinkish grey, styled in low twintails with distictive bangs and a cowlick (hidden under her hat) resembling a dolphin's fins, along with green eyes. Her outfit consists of an eclectic mix of Japanese and western clothing. Her top consists of a whitesailor shirt with puffy short sleeves, a blue sailor collar, a distinct "bib" and a knotwork tie (similar to the Chitose-class) over a white undershirt. Her bottom is a redpleated skirt with hip vents. She also wears a sailor hat, white gloves, and whitesocks. The last accessory is a small dolphin pin on her collar, referring to her namesake island's dolphins (she thus joins Taigei's club of wearing cetacean-shaped pins).
She is often nicknamed "Okra" due to alternate kanji readings (The "Mi" in "Mikura" can also be read as "O"), even by her artist.
