A white flag is a flag with solid white color. Used as a sign of truce, often as a request for negotiation. The white flag is popularly known as a symbol of surrender. In racing it can mean "slow moving vehicle ahead" for FIA-sanctioned races or "final lap" for IndyCar and NASCAR.
