They were created as proxy warriors by the first humanoid civilization in the galaxy, the Protoculture, 500,000 years ago. They have been at war with the Supervision Army since then.
Physically, most of them resemble humans, though some have pointy ears and many diverse and unique skin, eye and hair colors. Prior to their first encounter with the human race, all members of the Zentradi race were only reproduced and artificially fabricated through cloning.
The Zentradi army is a fearsomely powerful force of millions of space warships and mecha produced in thousands of huge and massive automated space factories scattered across the galaxy and legions of expendable giant clone troops created in mass production facilities.
Zentradi in giant form are called Maclones, while their human sized variants are known as Miclones. Female Zentradi are called Meltrandi.
