A card game for two or more players.
An extra card, usually a joker or "old maid" card, is inserted into a regular deck of playing cards. The cards are then dealt to the players who then take turns selecting a card from another player's hand. If a pair is formed, it is discarded. This continues until one player is left holding the "old maid". This is the variation often seen in Japan; the original rules call for removal of three queens, while other rule sets dictate the removal of either one queen, three jacks, one jack, three cards of the same value, or any card whatsoever.
