The Harrier Jump Jet is a family of military VTOL fighter aircraft originally designed in the UK and later co-developed by British and American companies to project air power despite poor or absent airfield conditions.
Some of the common details between models are the notable anhedral (downward) angles of the wings and tailplanes, the large engine air intakes and cockpit canopy, the rotating engine nozzles (two on each side of the fuselage instead of large ones at the rear like most other fighters) and the outrigger-style landing gear.
