Artist's commentary
Japanese can be confusing for foreigners, so I'm going to give it in English. (The translator was used)
It's true that the music video is a bit sensationalized, but I want to make it clear that this MV is in no way meant to be pedophilic.
For this MV, I wanted to create a romantic drama about a mischievous girl, based on the standard Japanese school love comedy genre.(e.g. Takagi, Nagatoro)
It's hard for Westerners to understand the genre, but as you can see from the e.g., it's definitely different from pedophilic.
As you may know, I tend to use provocative visuals in my MVs, such as “purepure” and “mesmerizer”, to emphasize the theme to the extreme. But this MV is in no way related to pedophilic, and I think it's a simple misunderstanding due to the fact that Vocaloid is Kaaiyuki. (The composer used Kaaiyuki as a vocaloid with no other intention, just her voice best suited the style of the song).
The genre context of the love comedy, various parodies of Japanese meme culture, as well as the linguistic play on the word 'zako' which means small fish in Japanese, could have been misunderstood by foreigners, and we now recognize that.
this is a particularly serious and sensitive topic in foreign, and we're working on a remake to clear up any misunderstandings, so please look forward to it.
