Touhou Compilation: Days 1–50
This is my first post.
It’s a collection of illustrations I drew for a "100-Day Challenge" on Twitter.
Honestly, I started this challenge without giving it much thought, like, “Oh, there’s a thing like this!”—but it’s actually pretty tough. About a week in, I realized something… there are over 100 characters in the Touhou Project. Drawing all of them is insanely difficult!
Also, while many artists draw across a variety of genres, I’ve only been drawing Touhou. But honestly, it’s because the characters’ designs and personalities are so strong that I never get bored. It’s a ton of fun. I really like genres with lots of unique and diverse characters—like FGO.
Oh, and the order of the illustrations is mostly random. Sometimes I choose based on my mood, but I also made a random table in Excel to pick for me. Playing around with Excel was fun, too.
There’s been some chaos along the way, like relatives visiting or my Apple Pencil breaking (the tip had this weird spring pop out), so I ended up drawing with my fingers for a while. But I’ve finally reached the halfway point! I post updates regularly on Twitter, so feel free to check them out.
By the way, now that I’ve written this much, what’s actually supposed to go in this description box? With a 3,000-character limit, I could probably fit a short story. Should I share a random story about how I found two slugs in some cabbage I was gifted and decided to keep them as pets? Oh, and when I tried to type “share” just now, predictive text suggested Shima Spain Village. I’d like to visit someday.
Ahhh, I really hope I can stick with this for the full 100 days!
