AfterwordI don't know how well it came across, but I imagine this book as something of a prequel to CDS. Wouldn't it be funny if her ability to impersonate people so well was actually a result of intense hard work behind the scenes? That was basically the concept behind this story.
I basically started going through Touhou characters one by one, trying to come up with gags, so some of the people possessed ended up being the same as in CDS.
Finally, I wanted to Yuugi to show up somehow, so I put her at the end. I did wonder whether they could know each other before the events of CDS, but personally I think they don't talk like they're meeting for the first time there, so I ended up deciding that they're at least acquainted.Thank you very much for picking up this book. This makes the 7th release from this circle.
I felt like I wanted to do a book about Miyadeguchi Mizuchi! Cheating Detective Satori sure is fun, huh? Mizuchi was so cute when she was drinking sake. Gotta love YuuMizu...I've been talking for quite a bit here, but basically, I just wanted to see them together. Mizuchi's puffy face after drinking is just so cute!
By the way, our circle's personal favorite gag is the Hina one. Even though I came up with it myself, I still burst out laughing when actually I saw it illustrated. This has been our first attempt at a short gag compilation manga. It was fun getting to use a lot of different characters.
At the time of writing, the official story has yet to reveal what exactly Mizuchi's grudge is, so I had to think long and hard about her lines on page 1.Next Reitaisai is in Shizuoka, huh? I don't know if the circle will be participating yet, but I do plan to attend.
I do think the circle will be at Reitaisai next May, so if you're going, I hope you'll stop by!
