This commission marks the FIRST TIME I've ever drawn the "Paper Mario" series artstyle! Still though, I'm no stranger when it comes to the various aspects of the Mario franchise!
In this scenario, Goombella (from "The Thousand Year Door") alongside Sushie (from "Paper Mario" on the N64), are taking a deep-sea dive exploring a what "would-be" sunken version of Rougeport, exploring for hidden underwater treasures together! Goombella in particular is wearing the same diving gear as a Goomdiver, as seen here.
