First things first, long time no see ! So I guess this marks the end of my break, I took a big longer than expected but that's behind me now ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Nothing really got fixed and being alive hurts but I'm actually pretty excited to get back into the swing of things so that's definitely a plus.

Anyways, cold weather is upon us now and I really wanted to draw something seasonal because for some reason my internal clock seems to be flipped and when it's winter I just wanna draw summer-y things and vice versa :') So here's Shadow and Maria ! I had a tough time choosing what kind of style to go with for Maria because putting humans next to segasonic anthro characters can look really out of place. So I went with some sort of blend of my usual semi-realism-anime-ish style while trying to heavily reference her in-game models (well, the SA2 one, I have no idea why they just didn't use that one in ShTH lmao).
I also needed to practice painting in grayscale some more so that's what I did here, but it looked kind of dull so I threw on some colors and kept a very limited palette. I wanted to convey that it's a cold winter night, but that there is some warmth to be found as well :>
